CSI notwithstanding, forensics experts cannot always retrieve fingerprints from objects, but a conformal coating process developed by Penn State professors can reveal hard-to-develop fingerprints on nonporous surfaces without altering the chemistry of the print.....Click here to read more.

Very cool web site. Check out “Prints in print” at http://www.printsinprint.com/index.htm. This is the new Director of the Boston Police Latent Print unit’s side-line of painting portraits using fingerprints. Her present offering includes portraits of Sir Francis Galton and Dr Henry Faulds, turn of the century fingerprint pioneers. Excellent wall décor for fingerprint techno-weenies.
